The Bachelor of Computer Application (Honors) Programme is a four year programme offered by Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune in Online mode. With the vision of “Social Tranformation Through Dynamic Education” the expectations and requirements of the Software Industry, immediately and in the near future, are considered while designing the BCA programme. Students can expect to gain an in-depth knowledge of the core as well as advanced subject of computer application through an interactive online learning experience.

BCA is a 36-month + 12 months (Honors), 165 credit programme with distinct 45 courses along with minor and major projects. Taught by well experienced Academician and industry experts, it is an online program which uses a variety of teaching and learning methods such as Synchronous as well as Asynchronous lectures, Discussion forums, and Assignments. These learning modes facilitate the exchange of innovative ideas which enable high collaboration levels among the students.

Objectives:

To prepare the youth to take up positions as system analysts, system engineers, software engineers and programmers.
To aim at developing systems thinking abstract thinking, skills to analyze and synthesize, and skills to apply knowledge, through extensive problem solving sessions, hands on practice under various hardware/software environments and projects developed.
To prepare students with social interaction skills, communication skills, life skills, entrepreneurial skills, and research skills which are necessary for career growth and for leading quality life are also imparted.

The duration of BCA Three Year Degree Program having six semesters and BCA (Honors) Degree Program will be of four years spread across Eight Semesters with multiple entry and exit options. Student should complete the 4 years degree programme within 7 years.
